“The art of portraiture has invariably fascinated artists and painters through time, often playing a consistently key role in the ever-changing art world. This exhibition explores the idea of the portrait in it’s broadest sense, both as a traditional art form and within a more contemporary context.”
I have been invited (as part of a group of artists) to exhibit my portrait painting at The Bank, Suffolk. The Bank is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to bringing arts to the rural town of Eye and it’s surrounding areas by providing an inspiring and creative environment that is inclusive to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Taking the form of a Community Arts Centre & Coffee House in an old HSBC Bank, a Grade II Listed building in the small market town of Eye in rural Suffolk, The Bank embraces a wide range of creative arts, including visual arts, music, theatre, literature, performance and education.
We are open six days a week as a coffee house, exhibition space… read more…
