Yorkshire Artist and British Portrait Painter, Hannah Ostapjuk, creates contemporary fine art oil portraits using traditional oil painting techniques. My artist studio is based in Yorkshire, where I live with my partner and daughter. Gaining my first portrait commission at the age of 17, I’ve gone on to have paintings included in public and private collections (UK and Europe) and shown in competitions and exhibitions, all over the UK.

My aim in portraiture is to always create a painting or drawing that Portrait: Girl in the Flowered Dressreflects the sitter’s likeness and personality. Capturing those special elements which make the sitter truly “them” because this is what matters most. I paint portraits of children as well as family, individual, group, military and corporate portraits. I am always willing to take on any new and exciting projects. Though oil paint is my preference, I can create beautiful portraits in: pencil, charcoal, acrylic paint and even biro. I create a painting or drawing the sitter and their family (and/or establishment) will be delighted with and one that will bring them joy each and every day.
