Today (31/07/17), I received the fantastic news that Professor Susan Price has now seen the portrait I painted of her. It is exactly 11 months, since I delivered the Portrait of Professor Susan Price to Leeds Beckett University.
There will not be a formal unveiling. The portrait will be hung in the Boardroom at the Old Broadcasting House (Leeds Beckett University, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds).
Professor Susan Price liked the portrait, the style of the painting and can see the similarities in style to my Portrait of Professor Michael Arthur (which I completed in 2014). That’s always good to hear as it’s nice to know my style is recognisable.
All of my commissioned portraits, including the uncropped version of Susan Price (picture to your left is cropped) and the one of Michael Arthur, can be viewed in the Commissions Gallery on this website.
Thank you to Professor Susan Price (previous Vice Chancellor), Mr David Lowen (Chair of the Board), Jenny Share (Secretary and Registrar), and Kate Harvey (Executive Officer) for this opportunity and for commissioning myself once again. I painted portraits for the University back in 2008 (also in my Commissions Gallery).
