Yes, you can now view the painting process of the oil sketch I completed of the Clothworkers Concert Hall (School of Music) for the University of Leeds.

I would like to thank the University for commissioning me, again, Richard Ashby for making the video, and Richard Cruise for taking such an interest in the painting process on Instagram and creating this fantastic opportunity for me – the painting process video has been viewed by over 6,763 people on the University’s Facebook page.

“University of Leeds alumna Hannah Ostapjuk is an accomplished contemporary fine artist who works exclusively in oils.”

“The painting was commissioned by Gabrielle Wright (Alumni Relations Assistant) for Gillian who has volunteered as Secretary of the Leeds University Old Students Association, and is retiring after 15 years in post. The Clothworkers Concert Hall was chosen because Gillian is a ‘Friend of Art and Music’ and has volunteered extensively as a steward and programme seller for concerts in this hall.”

“This video shows each stage of the work from early sketches through to the finished painting.”
